What to do if you come across an injured animal or bird in your garden or whilst out driving. The importance of putting your own safety first and understanding how most wildlife is naturally fearful of humans anyway and, if injured, you are at more risk of being attacked or of the injured animal fleeing if you get too close and try to rescue the animal yourself.
